Tim Dolan, AICP
Tim Dolan, AICP, is Principal for the Hill Country Texas Planning Traditions (HCTPT) in Temple, Texas. He coordinates the planning and management team, which is responsible for conducting member city’s urban design, open space, planning, capital improvement projects and management projects. Mr. Dolan’s responsibilities include coordination of several downtown redevelopment projects based on transit-oriented and new urbanism design principles. Mr. Dolan also coordinates member city’s program of state legislative affairs.
Mr. Dolan is active in several professional associations. He is a past secretary of the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association and a former board member of the Texas Municipal League. Mr. Dolan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and is waiting certification to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Neighborhood Development.
Mr. Dolan has organized and participated in many educational programs for citizens, planning commissioners, elected officials, planning professionals and students. He is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and universities. Mr. Dolan has also worked to promote joint training programs and special topic seminars among professional and municipal associations. Mr. Dolan’s work as a planner and his efforts in support of the planning profession has been recognized by awards of the Texas Chapter of the American Association and other organizations.
Mr. Dolan earned a B.A. Degree from the University of Detroit and a M.S. Degree from the University Of University Texas at Austin. He served as Planning Director for Kelso, Washington, Kerrville, Mason, Marble Falls and Temple, Texas.
